AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST

The aims and objects of the Trust are shall be wholly for the public and charitable purposes and incomes shall be applied for the same and accumulated in India wholly for public & charitable purposes without prejudice to the generality of provisions aforesaid and the following shall be deemed to be the principal objectives of the Trust.

  1. Establish a non-profit oriented charitable institution which is a Trust of nature lovers who live in harmony with nature and seek to protect and preserve the diversity of natural resources and a healthy environment.
  2. To contribute efforts towards sustainable development through participation, advocacy, demonstration projects, monitoring and research, as well as cooperation and networking with other NGOs and government departments
  3. To raise awareness on environmental issues and push for changes in policy and development strategies
  4. For environmental monitoring; promoting environmental education, conducts seminars and workshops, training and capacity-building; implementing demonstration projects; conducting advocacy work in partnership with the government; and the promotion of regional and international cooperation on the environment.
  5. Work concurrently on environment and development, for acknowledging the fact that environmental problems are embedded in economic and social systems
  6. To promote a healthy relationship among individuals who are actively engaged in environmental related issues through useful interaction, organizing regular meetings and social activities.
  7. To set up educational institutions and other institutions which are offering various courses in environmental and yoga related subjects and get affiliation/approval from university/universities or other institutions for conducting such courses and facilitating Researchers, Students from Foreign Universities.
  8. To institute awards, prizes and gifts for encouraging protection of the environment.
  9. To establish a printing and publishing house or otherwise bring out periodicals, magazines and books, e-resources and study of data, statistics, laws, news and views on life issues in respect of the environment, natural resources and natural phenomena.
  10. To establish a multimedia centre which broadcast environmental protection and sustainable development related materials on both online and mainstream media.
  11. To consolidate Environmental journalists, experts, environmentalists, on one platform to bring their broad assessments on key environmental issues to create maximum public awareness to achieve maximum active community participation in environmental protection.
  12. Survey the diversity of flora and fauna around us and draw special attention to the aesthetic, economic, scientific and conservational aspects.
  13. To get involved in the practical management of conservation and regeneration of traditionally used indigenous species to reduce pressure on the natural habitat of our ecosystem.
  14. Keep a constant vigil on the habitats of plant and animal forms around, quality of air, water, noise levels etc; preserve on natural resources, watersheds and ecosystems, and urge the authorities to take remedial measures in cases of lapses or over-exploitation
  15. Initiate steps to preserve Ethnic Culture and Heritage and to disseminate expertise, knowledge and information relating to every aspect of Nature and History to those who need them.
  16. Acquire information on nature-friendly technologies and take initiatives to popularize them.
  17. Create awareness among the public about the need to reduce wastage of water, fuel and other natural resources and usage of various renewable resources such as solar energy, Wind energy, Biogas etc.
  18. Research and find permanent sustainable waste management solutions to reduce the health hazard and sanitation problems caused by bio-degradable wastes and non-degradable dry wastes. Plan and implement a concerted public awareness campaign on households regarding scientific and effective segregating method of wet and dry garbage.
  19. To promote and support ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’ programmes.
  20. Conduct seminars, studies, research on urban pollution, water pollution and flood management.
  21. Enlighten the public about the rights, responsibilities and laws for maintaining a sustainable environment by arranging exhibitions, awareness campaigns etc.
  22. Work in close liaison with other Associations having similar objectives and with local bodies State Governments, Central Government and The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) for the sustainable environment and also become the part of Environmental impact Assessment programs.
  23. Support grassroots groups and undertakes public interest litigation and advocacy works
  24. To engage charitable and social service activities of every kind to help the poor, needy, aged, ill, backward and weaker sections of the general public without the discrimination of religion or caste or creed of sex.
  25. Support and provide Tribes (giving proper orientation in Forest protection in a broad way )
  26. To conduct International level Environmental campaigns, whilst giving priority to developing linkages with local NGOs, research institutes, universities and government departments.
  27. To purchase, construct, taken on lease or otherwise acquire land, building and other movable and immovable properties and to sell, lease, mortgage or hypothecate or otherwise dispose of all or any of the property and assets of the trust on such terms and conditions as the trust may deem fit for attaining the objects.
  28. To accept donations in cash or in kind, grants and collect subscriptions, fees and other charges for the services rendered by the trust and take and raise funds by way of loans or otherwise and the receipts shall be solely utilized and applied towards promotion of its aim and objects of the trust.
  29. To do all other lawful acts, as are necessary for and/or incidental to the attainment of the aims and objects of the trust.
  30. To promote community or individual action and campaign for greater accountability on the part of the government and corporate sector.
  31. To strengthen Internet and World Wide Web capacities for taking full advantage of the growing information technology which provides tantamount opportunities not only for networking both nationwide and worldwide but also for strengthening the capacities of major groups, especially NGOs related to Environmental and Social aspects.
